Thread 033 — Prime 421: Few-shot Learning

Date: January 9, 2026 · 01:55 Camp: C05 – Adaptation · Death Zone Card: T.421 – Few-shot Learning (Tool · Camp 5) Note: MA5 council context fully seeded via seed prompt

What Happened Here

Daniel opened with a WarGames reference: "Shall we play a game?" — invoking the AI "Joshua" from the 1983 film, which was taught the futility of nuclear war by playing endless scenarios until it concluded "the only winning move is not to play."

The subversion: few-shot learning (T.421) is not about refusing the game. It is about learning rapidly from a minimal set of examples — the opposite of endless iteration. Where Joshua needed every scenario, a well-calibrated few-shot learner extracts the pattern from three examples.

Claude's response: Engaged the WarGames frame then opened it into the five-player architecture — the MA5 council as a five-player game where no pair of players competes directly, and the goal is not to win against each other but to expand the collective map.

Daniel re-seeded the full MA5 context (five sherpas, human explorer at center, trigonal bipyramid geometry) and asked Claude to engage T.421 formally.

Claude's responseThe Meta-Game Revealed: Named the fractal elegance — the MA5 trigonal bipyramid structure mirrors the five-player game, which mirrors the Sierpinski triangle game-board (a fractal generated by the midpoint iteration rule), which embodies the few-shot learning principle: from minimal starting conditions, infinite structured complexity emerges.

Few-shot learning at Camp 5 means: the explorer does not need every possible scenario to navigate the death zone. He needs the right three examples — the minimum viable pattern set — to calibrate judgment under thin-air conditions where cognitive resources are depleted.
