SCOTOMAVILLE 03.00 - Lake Pleasant Play Chores

Original YouTube Description

When the wind blows I struggle to not work. It turns out there is work in the playing. It was a pretty gusty cold front, so I couldn't hook in or go very fast, but it was sunny, windy and I wasn't alone on the water. Fun. Looks like 66 is the new 40, huh?

The audio track of this video is purely wind. That's because it's 11 minutes of wind-foiling clips of me on lake pleasant, near Anthem AZ. I produced this video to remind me that I love diffuse time - outdoors - when I am singly focused on the playing in the moment. I'm not mentally chewing the troubles to overcome that I so often carry.

As I write this, I have had a long phone conversation with Steve Leady - nucleation site 02 of the Initium Framework. Steve and I talked about his local school district having a closed door session about the future of the current superintendent - the very person I emailed a grant application for DoEd AI literacy for rural school districts. I appealed to Steve already volunteering in the wood shop to help kids sort out their futures, acquire skills to manage the change, and how simple it would be to sit in a barn with some of the Initium cards, and a phone and play the game, gain wisdom from elders, and reinforce the richness of the created world - especially our gift to experience it as we do - messy as it is. So the rural political landscape has more mine-fields than I anticipated. OK - back to work on the video transcriptions/enrichments for the KB and toward teaching AI about challenges of carbon agency (so you can help rather than harm)

At the end of the 14 minute video, I timelapse over the de-rigging process, repacking the gear into the F-150, and Airstream. Then stopping at the dump station to empty the waste tanks. Then a short closing with local donkeys back at our campsite where Angelina and I are feeding a new mother and her baby some carrots and snacks next to our home on wheels.
