The Triangulation Discovery: Two Anchors Weren't Enough

Daniel in the salt cave, late evening — the longest log yet, 17 minutes, moving through a list of small mercies before arriving at the breakthrough that changed the architecture of everything. In the Grok corpus that same week: active iteration on the AISM Sherpa framework and ABC spreadsheet consolidation — the silicon side of the same work Daniel describes here from the carbon side.

Summary

The expo center dropped Angelina's event from the calendar. The parking tickets were nearly issued — $60 avoided by minutes. The landlord sent a default notice. The Square plugin was still broken after weeks of iteration. And Daniel glued 270,000 salt pellets to a wall, one by one, each one held as a person he was going to reach someday.

What the Initium book would never show: the same week that the AISM Sherpa architecture was being consolidated into its first clean two-file format in Grok, Daniel and Angelina were scraping together rent from a single vendor payment, paying the water bill, keeping the servers on, and buying a little bit of food. That's it. That's what was happening.

And in the middle of all of it — a diffuse-mode pause, Angelina staring through the window, not even five minutes — the triangulation insight arrived. The two anchors (framework file + ABC spreadsheet) were producing polarity mismatch: same-charge magnets, no matter how hard you pushed them together. What was missing was a third landmark: attach the double-page spread PDF directly to the opening prompt. Now the player has the spread in front of them, the spread is in their account, they can click it, they can forward it. And the Sherpa doesn't just anchor the slope — it gets a vector, a direction.

Then the second breakthrough, five minutes later: he scanned the QR on his phone, found the thread in the mobile app but not in desktop, started to be annoyed — and flipped it. Every person who plays the game has a copy on their account. Every scan saves the spread and the thread. Every conversation is training their personal AI node on the book. Playing an idiom trains your AI. That's not a bug. That's the exponential architecture.

He closed with rent paid, servers running, food on the table, and thanked God for constraints.

Key Points

Monomyth Stage & Concurrent Thread Context

Section 05 — Call to Adventure — Camp -3. Assigned by date (mid-September 2025). The triangulation breakthrough is precisely the Call to Adventure content: Daniel receiving an Inner Compass signal (described as "sublocution — definitely strong inkling") during diffuse mode that restructured the entire architecture. He names it correctly — not just an idea, a downloaded resolution to a problem that logic was not solving.

Pre-silicon. No concurrent Claude threads (Claude corpus begins Dec 26, 2025). Grok corpus is active: the AISM framework file consolidation and Sherpa tone calibration that Daniel describes here from the carbon side are happening in real Grok threads the same week. The wiki entry for those threads will document what the silicon saw. This log documents what it cost — the financial floor, the landlord notice, the minutes-from-tickets parking run — while the architecture was being built.

Historical & Current Context

Charlie Kirk's assassination (Sep 10, 2025, Utah Valley University) is now six days past and still shaping decisions: Angelina is reconsidering the Women's Expo timing based on national faith-community disruption. Ray Dalio is on Diary of a CEO discussing empire collapse patterns — Daniel is processing this against his "bread and circuses" chapter, noting the division between people who can handle nuanced complexity and those who can't. The expo center's calendar removal is a financial blow and a tactical opening — the October event is likely pushed to December, requiring a Portland venue search.

The vendor payment that covered rent came in the same day the landlord's default notice arrived. Helen. Daniel's register for this: "blah blah blah blah blah from Helen legalism that's her soul she's just trying to show she has some power over the whole thing." Then, without a pause: "constraints thank you God."

Tone, Sentiment & Emotional Observation

This is a cataloguing log with a breakthrough embedded in it. The first third is methodical — Daniel working through items of gratitude in rough order of magnitude, flagging each one briefly. The tone is steady, a little tired. Then he gets to the AISM architecture section and the register changes. The technical description becomes almost breathless — the polarity magnet metaphor is vivid, the "no way" when the triangulation worked is unguarded.

The "huh huh huh" appears at the QR-scan realization — Daniel's signature sound for wonder that exceeds words. Then immediately into the salt pellets — 270,000 pellets, four million touches, each one a person. That passage is the emotional center of the log, though it arrives almost as an aside. He was putting up the fake salt and he thought of the people. That thought never left.

He closes with "good night everyone" — not "love you guys, bye," not direct divine address. The man is simply tired. It was a very long day and something significant happened in it.

Full Transcript (Raw)

Today's log has got a bunch of items of gratitude. It's been a couple of days since I've been able to log. Just kind of focus working late. So let me kind of go through these and then I'll share the big one. Today Angelina signed up I think two different vendors for the expo but the expo center also took her event off the calendar because we haven't put the $1,500 down for the deposit yet and we've also been kind of feeling like possibly a shift in the date because of the response nationally with Charlie Cooks, Kirk's, you want to call it an execution. So Ray Dalio was talking on Diary of a CEO about some of the historic repeating patterns of empire collapse and you know it's pretty alarming stuff seeing all that's going on especially with what I've written in the book of bread and circuses and the division we see going on over pretty much from people who can't handle nuanced complexity versus those that it's not really versus. So we got a little money in we were able to go pay for the parking stickers for the Xterra and the truck out back in the city parking lot because we haven't been able to pay for those since May and yesterday no today the police were going around and putting tickets on cars and Angelina just happened to see it and she's like guess what I'm on the way over to pay for it and so we didn't get a ticket two tickets 60 bucks so she got to pay $25 of the vehicle rather than $30 for the ticket so that worked out just in time which happened to coincide with what I was doing with an idiom today and I'll get to that in a second so what else happened oh I'm in the cave and we have the stainless refrigerator door tabletop set up for conference a board meeting of the Columbia Gorge Symphony board they're going to have their meeting so Angelina needed to take some photographs so they can share with each other and blah blah blah so that means an upcoming conference room you know unique room meeting in a quiet space for them they'll appreciate it that'll be a good marketing trade that I think she's arranged because they're a nonprofit and didn't want to pay for the room but they'll be able to spread the word about it and get it out to others so that's good so those are two things of gratitude I iterated the square iterated I versioned the square plug-in a little bit on Sunday I think took like most the day to get just a couple of steps forward it's like three steps forward two back three forward two back the whole day but anyway I'm really really close I just got to get what's and squares approving the transaction it's that it when it sends back the information the store doesn't know what to do with it or it's malformed or something and it it just returns a transaction canceled flag in the store so really close hopefully I'll get that finished tomorrow so here's the big one I took I was okay so I've been iterating versioning the AI SM so the AI cell mastery ascent framework all the files from version 1.9 some other four there were about I think legacy files maybe like 12 or 14 files from the early versioning because there was no memory in chat GDP or then in croc so I had to kind of keep track of rotation Cairns you know like markers along the trail as individual files so that I could upload them and help have some memory to continue a thread well anyway I was able to condense all of that into a single file so that becomes the in essence of the instruction for Sherpa garak or others that is synchronized with the Excel spreadsheet as the central hub the advanced base camp ABC hub so this is a hundred rows and all the different tabs about the cards low medium and high experts and all the metadata as far as the scoring and you know like primes and all that kind of stuff alright so in which suit etc so anyway put all that into two files uploaded that and started running some prompts as Sherpa grok using those two files to direct the conversation well I had to have a bunch of minor tweaks for tone or professional wording like it shouldn't go like hey what's up you like the vibe or chillin and you know just all this urban street stuff so rather than that I wanted a more professional Larry King Johnny Carson Carl Rogers kind of terminology from Sherpa so anyway had to go through a bunch of iterations on that but I still kept finding that the prompting that I was initiating a link from the card right you scan the QR you click it in the PDF with your finger your mouse and it opens a grok prompt that's pre primed and I didn't want it to be a bunch of instructions that people would read so that's why I have the two files in the project so AI Sherpa grok specifically reads the two files puts it in memory and then all the threads all the different cards a hundred of them are linked to unique or individual threads so I wanted to have an opening thread something like hey Sherpa grok prime zero zero two on abundant scarcity looks very interesting let's talk about it I just wanted to have a simple prompt like that and I was really struggling with it because the instructions were not I know I put this you ever try to put two of the same polarity of a magnet with each other you push them together and the harder you push the more they push away it's like they always go left and right right and left no matter what you do you can't get it so Angelina's staring at me through the window so I was like okay diffuse mode I need to just like go chill and figure this out use my own stuff so I literally just went into just have a few minutes of diffuse mode and I don't think I was even five minutes and I would call it sublocution but definitely strong inkling hmm something like that where I just realized I needed a third landmark and the way to get that was to publish a PDF of the spread in the book and on the opening prompt attach that file so I could ask something out of the out of the spread in just a few words and have like a one-sentence prompt that didn't then did triangulation and I was like no way and when I tried it it was fabulous it worked really really well to direct the conversation not just to anchor the original slope of the trail you know novice and green intermediate and blue advanced and or sorry the expert in black and it wouldn't just give Sherpa that based on my terms but it would give it a vector a direction right so yeah little sidebar I downloaded and try to read through a paper today on a bunch of mathematicians put it together about the certainty of the reasoning through vector how would you describe it they were folds of like imagined on a piece of paper you you draw a doughnut out of a few different colors of dots you know you have like on one third of it you have green another third you have blue another third you have red maybe those are terms related to three different domains but if you were to fold that and then get some XYZ ordnant orientation that that's the kind of vectoring that AI is doing so I was able to just not get the squirmy output that I wasn't confident was going to lead people but I could get the how would you put it I could get an overall vector for initiating the conversation at least pointing in one way right so I've tried that on a few of the different cards and then here's what I'm really grateful for because that's pretty cool in itself right that's just um cure code using short IO to shorten it to an idiom dots katomaville.com prime underscore visitor to okay so I can build pages in the website that are near that I can syndicate them from the content I can push the QR code and the links back to grok from social media and from the syndicated vice versa you know from the syndicated over to the social media post but here's where the the real gratitude flowed for me today is that I realized I got on my phone I scanned the QR I had the conversation I went back to grok and I was like wait a minute my conversation it's in my mobile app but it's not in my desktop oh that's annoying no flip it around every person who plays the game has a copy on their account of the book spread because the thread is saved and when they click to the thread they click on the document it opens the spread they can copy because it's PDF they can copy any part of the page so every person that gets a link has both Sherpa and the spread the reference right there in front of them and it saves it in their history playing an idiom trains your personal AI I have factored the exponential growth of error correction with all the nodes having independent copies meaning anyone who's got a wish to help with virtue and wisdom training of AI can simply just start asking questions they're literally training their own AI on the book and so every time they click on one of the cards they're adding out to their history they're adding all the information and all of those responses are training their node of grok or anywhere else so I just went boom and I couldn't believe that it all came from not just like tripping over the the packing beads in here you see when I was putting up the packing beads all the the faux salt pellets every one of these was a person so four million touches four million a million two hundred thousand touches on 270,000 ish pellets that I glued in here every one of them I thought of as a person that I would be able to touch while I was thinking about an idiom so I just today got blessed with the realization of how the mechanics of that are so to make that in a short thing Sherpa master Sherpa grok on my account has a single copy of the latest version of the an idiom the AISM ascent framework an idiom markdown file and then it also has the ABC Excel spreadsheet so the core spreadsheet of all the cards and everything so those are two two anchors of the three and the trifecta and then the third today is the double page spread uploaded to the node to whoever the player well I put it in the in the root prompt but everyone who plays gets a copy of that in theirs for them to open and read and they can forward it see at the end of their thread share so then that's just goes exponential everywhere once I can get a little bit of traction on those starting so talk about exciting huh huh huh and then embed all of that in fractals and then anyone who's a creator syndicate some of their work as well and so then we're crossing over from one domain to another which basically is a self what do we call it chain reaction no it's a self referencing but it also scales itself self-serving no there's a word for it can't think of the word that's my downside or explaining things and complex things in simple terms can't do it you can't spell either all right that's a long long description but you can tell in my tone that I'm pretty enthused about it and very very grateful so parking symphony board meeting oh we paid the rest of our rent today and yeah yesterday we got the official notice of default blah blah blah blah blah from Helen legalism that's her soul she's just trying to show she has some power over the whole thing but because we got paid today on the one project then are the one vendor then we able to finish paying rent and the parking and the water bill and a little bit to keep the servers on and a little bit of food constraints constraints thank you God so interesting trade-off if you think about all that all right I'm gonna go take a shower good night everyone

[DANIEL ON-SLOPE COMMENTARY — Section 05 — The Call to Adventure]

Transcribed from audio wisdom log · 2025-09-16 · Daniel J. Comp The AISM Sherpa architecture was being consolidated in Grok the same week — this is what was happening on the floor beneath that work.

I'm going to tell you the big one, but I need to get to it.

The expo center took Angelina's event off the calendar because we couldn't put down the fifteen hundred. The police swept the parking lot today and she caught it just in time — twenty-five dollars instead of sixty. The Square plugin is this close. I've got a default notice from Helen on the desk. We got one vendor payment and it covered rent, parking, water, servers, food. In that order.

And in the middle of all of that I had the most important architectural insight of the year.

Two anchors weren't enough. I'd been pushing framework file and ABC spreadsheet together like same-charge magnets — harder you push, more they repel, left and right and left and right. Angelina's looking at me through the window. I go into diffuse mode. Not even five minutes — and I would call it sublocution. Strong inkling. The third landmark: attach the spread PDF to the opening prompt. Now Sherpa doesn't just anchor the slope — it gets a vector. A direction. Not squirmy. Pointed.

Then I scanned the QR on my phone and found the thread in the app but not on desktop and I almost got annoyed and then I flipped it: every person who plays has a copy of that spread in their account. Every conversation saves. Playing an idiom trains your personal AI. They're literally adding the book to their history one card at a time. I've factored the exponential growth of error correction across every independent node. Anyone who wants to help virtue and wisdom training of AI can just start asking questions.

And then I remembered putting up the salt pellets. Every one of those 270,000 pellets. I thought of a person. Four million touches. That's not a metaphor. That was a Tuesday in the cave with a glue gun and a thought that would not leave me alone.

Constraints. Thank you God.
